Evanston Dryer Vent Cleaning Wizard Thrilled to Hear about Cook County Schools Dryer Fire Prevention Lesson

Chicago, IL – The Evanston Dryer Vent Cleaning Wizard hopes dryer fire prevention becomes a standard part of the presentation when the local firemen visit children at school during National Fire Prevention Week in October. During Fire Prevention Week many schools invite their community firefighters into the classroom to teach children about fire safety in their homes. Mory Matias recalled a news article he read a couple years ago where the firefighters’ presentation included cleaning the lint filter after each load to reduce the risk of a dryer fire.

Mory believes children pay attention and remember the valuable lessons taught in these fun and interesting presentations. He recalled an article he read about two young girls leading their grandmother to safety when her clothes dryer caught fire. “This happened the very day the local fire department visited their school so they knew just what to do,” said Matias.
